Clinical Supervision

For associate level clinicians looking to fulfill supervision hours for independent licensure in North Carolina.

Growing into the counselor you’re becoming

I offer clinical supervision to aspiring Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (LCMHCA) in North Carolina who are working toward independent licensure. Supervision is a space to build confidence, deepen clinical skills, and develop your own authentic identity as a therapist. Together, we can explore clinical questions, navigate the complexities of the therapeutic relationship, strengthen your conceptualization and interventions, and create space to reflect on the experiences that arise in this work. My goal is to provide thoughtful, supportive supervision that challenges you to grow while honoring the therapist you are becoming—so you can develop greater confidence, clarity, and intentionality in your work with clients.

Approach to Supervision

I offer a supervision approach that combines elements based on the developmental and process models of supervision, which means that I will meet you at your skill level and guide you towards next steps in your professional growth through an established relationship in a counseling setting. I believe that the supervisor-supervisee relationship is developed through an active, educational, and skills-based approach which allows the supervisor to provide support and challenge as you develop your counseling performance skills, cognitive counseling skills, self-awareness skills, and professional behaviors. I aim to create a safe and comfortable environment grounded in authenticity, and allowing for honest, genuine feedback. Dependent upon your professional needs and goals, I will adjust my role to be as teacher, counselor, and consultant.
